A lot of doors are suddenly opening for actress Louisa So Yuk-wa in the food industry. As the eventual winner of the popular TVB show Beautiful Cooking - which involved female celebrities in a cooking content - the versatile actress has been inundated with food-related offers and appearance requests at cooking activities and commercials around town. In fact, she's now working on her first cook book, which tentatively will be finished this month.

Granted, the competition wasn't particularly impressive on the cheesy game show, but these days, any girl who can make more than just reservations is highly sought after.

"It's kind of terrifying. People are lining up to dine at my home," So joked at an event organised by Towngas, where she was making mooncakes to be distributed to seniors in the community. "I know there are lots of people out there who can cook much better. For me, cooking is just for fun. After all, I'm an actress."

A more daunting challenge will be playing a villain for the first time in a new serial that will start shooting next month.
